Deviation
Dans Deviation (2011-2014) l’artiste joue, comme avec Word(s), avec des mots devenus cette fois sculptures à part entière. Ils prennent forme autant qu’ils disparaissent par enfoncement dans le mur. Si la lecture est fuyante, elle est tout de même rendue possible par la superposition inversée des lettres. Il ne s’agit pas tant de mots hybrides que d’un déchiffrement, d’un nouvel agencement définitoire qui laisse libre court à une interprétation nouvelle du préfixe anglais de négation « DIS ».

In Deviation (2011-2014), word take shape as much as they disappear through force in the wall. Interpretation may be elusive, but it is made possible all the same by the inverted superimposition of the letters. These are not so much hybrid words as the deciphering of a new definitive layout that lets your imagination run free regarding new interpretations of the English negative prefix ‘dis.’
